Covid-19 cases are increasing in the country. Due to this, there are many reports of medical oxygen deficiency in Delhi. Meanwhile, allegations are coming in that oxygen refillers are facing harassment from the government. Because of this, the general public is facing a lot of trouble, who depended on them for oxygen cylinders. Now it is becoming very difficult for them to get oxygen.
Advocate Amit Kumar Singh, the founder of NGO HUM, posted a video message in which he described the situation after the Delhi government took action on the oxygen refillers in the city. According to Kumar, the attendants of the Kovid-19 patients who were arranging for medical oxygen from the refillers are no longer able to arrange them as the government has shut down their operations. Only 13 refillers are allowed to provide medical oxygen, but government-issued numbers are either shutting down or no response is being given.
Many private vendors in Delhi were refilling oxygen cylinders at a nominal cost in Delhi. The Kejriwal govt yesterday closed all of them and released a list of just 13 refillers. People are running from pillar to post to get oxygen refill but nothing happening. pic.twitter.com/kuPTSabxZy

Amit Kumar Singh said that the Delhi government has seized an oxygen refiller agency in West Vinod Nagar and seized their cylinders. He also said that after that the government released the numbers of 6 oxygen agencies, but none of them is picking up the phone. Singh suggested that the Delhi government should deploy its officers to allow this agency of West Vinod Nagar to function and allow the private refinery to be operationalized.
The owner of the refiller station claims to have been tortured
After Amit Kumar Singh’s video went viral on social media, Opindia Reached West Vinod Nagar agency which Singh mentioned about the difficulties they were facing. On the condition of anonymity, the refilling agency owner told us that since the Delhi government had ordered the teams to be deployed at medical oxygen refilling stations, their station has been closed by the authorities. They said that the government officials confiscated their cylinders and closed the premises. He further said that members of his team were picked up by government officials to present them to the DM’s office.
The owner almost broke down while talking to Opindia and said, “They have closed my refilling station.” People are calling me Now tell me where to arrange oxygen for them? They picked up members of my team and harassed them. It was torture. They also snatched my cylinder. I have no answer to give to those asking for help. “
When we on social media Searched It was found that the address of its refilling station is still widely shared on social media as an authentic source for medical oxygen.
On 28 April, the Delhi government issued a Order issued In which the district magistrates were directed to deploy the team to ensure the supply of medical oxygen according to the license conditions. The order was meant to smooth the supply of medical oxygen in the national capital. But it seems that this refinery center owners are facing trouble.
