UEFA has announced publicly the lists of 32 teams participating in the Champions League, both the first team, A, and the young people who can be recruited, B, and some absences very unusual. More than 25 players are left and will not play in the competition in the first group stage. Some cases are justified by long-term injuries, although others are due to technical and space issues, as there is a limit that teams must meet.
Among those not registered by the decision of the club or its coaches are the most famous players: Van de Beek, from Manchester United, Draxler and Ekitike, from PSG, Marcao and Januzaj, from Sevilla, or Bitshiabu and Ilaix Moriba, from Leipzig. Many of them were on the starting ramp for their teams until the last minute of the market, but in the end they were left dependent on the high price of not playing in the Champions League.
Among the injured are two from Dortmund (Mateu Morey and Meunier) or Timber, who recently arrived at Arsenal and was injured almost immediately after. There are other teams that, despite having serious injuries, decided to be on the list. Madrid with Courtois and Militao are the best examples. Barça also had no surprises and included the entire first team. In the case of Atlético, the only one left is the long-term injured Vitolo.
These are some of the key players who have been left out of the Champions League.
