The second part of the well-known Hindi series ‘Mirzapur’ of Amazon Prime Video was released last year. After the release of the series, there was a lot of ruckus about it, but it had calmed down in a few days. Now, when there was a ruckus about the ‘Tandava’ series across the country, a case was also registered for the ‘Mirzapur’ series. This complaint has been lodged in Mirzapur in Uttar Pradesh.
According to the information, a three-member team of the countryside police station had left for Mumbai. In the countryside Kotwali, a case was filed against the Mirzapur web series on the complaint of journalist Arvind Chaturvedi. The ‘Mirzapur’ series has also been accused of hurting religious sentiments like ‘Tandava’. It is being said that in this series anti-religion content has been served to the audience.
Earlier when this series was released, Anupriya Patel, MP of Mirzapur in Uttar Pradesh, demanded a censorship of it. He said that Mirzapur’s image is getting tarnished through the series. The image of the city is shown wrong by the makers. Anupriya had requested Prime Minister Narendra Modi to ban the Mirzapur series.
Anupriya Patel wrote in her tweet – “Mirzapur is developing under the leadership of Honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji and Honorable Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath ji. It is the center of harmony. It is being maligned as a violent area through a web series called Mirzapur. Ethnic disharmony is also being spread through this series. As MP of Mirzapur district, my demand is that it should be investigated and action should be taken against it. ”
