French carmaker Renault is launching a new sub-compact SUV Renault Kigger in India. The sub-4 meter SUV will be launched on February 15 and its delivery will start in March. Car bookings have started at company dealerships. Most dealers are pre-booking token amounts of Rs 10,000 to Rs 20,000.
The car is cheaper than Rs 5 lakh
The company has already revealed that the car will be cheaper than the Nissan Mangite in terms of price (Renault Kigger price). Let us know if the Nissan Magnite currently in this segment starts from Rs.5.49 lakhs (ex-showroom). According to the report, the base model of the Renault Kigger is priced at Rs 5 lakh and the top model is priced at around Rs 8 lakh.

Two engine options are available
The Renault Kigger comes in two engine options. It is powered by a 1.0 liter turbocharged engine, 3 cylinder petrol that produces 100 PS of power and 160 Nm of torque. It comes with a 5 speed manual and 5 speed CVT automatic transmission. The second engine is expected to be 1.0 liters naturally, producing 72 PS of power and 96 Nm of torque. It comes with a 5 speed manual and AMT transmission. The same engines are given in the Nissan Magnite.

The Renault Kigger will be the first car in its segment to come with a PM2.5 cabin air filter. It features an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports voice commands with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. It comes with 4 speakers and 4 tweeters with Arkhamis audio system, ambient lighting, automatic climate control, push button start, keyless entry, reverse parking camera.
