Today, the 72nd Republic Day will be celebrated across the country and on this occasion Google has congratulated the countrymen by making a special doodle. This doodle of Google gives a glimpse of the variety of culture and tradition found across the country. The doodle has tried to show how Republic Day is celebrated on 26 January in India. This doodle has been illustrated by Onkar Fondekar, a Mumbai artist.
This Google Doodle is a scratch HD image. In the doodles seen by clicking on Google’s home page, different states of India and their culture have been told. It mainly uses green and saffron colors. To commemorate the Republic Day of India, today’s doodle artwork shows the range of vibrant cultures.
In this doodle, an attempt has been made to add different colors i.e. culture of the country together. It shows an elephant with Mahavat. A cricketer, a film director with a camera, a sitar player, a Bharatanatyam dancer, a dholak player, a selfie in a Rajasthani dress, etc. are some of the special elements of this doodle. With this, India’s traditional architecture style has been kept in the background which makes it more special.
Onkar Fondekar, who made it, says that his inspiration behind this doodle is the people of India, its culture, traditions, history and architecture. He further said that he considered himself lucky that he got a chance to portray his country on a global platform like Google Doodle. Onkar says that while making this doodle, he came to know that he can show many things on a large canvas.
Let me tell you that today Republic Day is being celebrated all over India and on this occasion a grand parade is organized at India Gate in Delhi. At the same time, Republic Day, which is going to be held in the Corona period, is going to be special in many ways this time. Due to the Corona epidemic, less people will get a chance to watch the parade keeping in mind the social distance. In this parade, Rafale fighter aircraft which has joined the air force of the country will also be included.
