Riverside Philharmonic will be headed by music director Tomaz Golka, with whom the Philharmonic board has reached a new, five-year contract that will expand its role with Symphony by 2026.

Golka has been the orchestra’s music director and conductor since 2010. Symphony’s 2020-21 season was virtual due to the coronavirus epidemic.

“Personally I can’t imagine a better way to celebrate coming out of a shutdown than great music,” Golka said. “I’m really looking forward to connecting with everyone: our audience and our orchestra.”
