Two adults and 11 juveniles were arrested in connection with the theft of 93 firearms from three different stores in Montgomery and Bucks counties in Pennsylvania.
Overall, 93 weapons were stolen and only 33 were recovered as part of the investigation. Some 60 are on the streets in the hands of criminals.
According to Montgomery County Prosecutor Kevin Steele, all those arrested are residents of Philadelphia. “Two adults and two minors whom we prosecuted as adults are waiting to be processed,” he stressed, adding that the age of the persons ranged between 16 and 40 years. The rest of the suspects involved are between 14 and 17 years old.
The robberies in arms stores or armories took place between September 24 and November 20 last year in the early hours of the morning. Suspects may have entered establishments by breaking windows, cabinets and safes.

- November 12: Target Word gun shop in Chalfont, New Britain Township in Bucks County: 32 handguns, 8 rifles and one loaded with bullet suppressors. Till date, 10 of these have been seized by search warrants.
- November 20: Attempted robbery at the Continental Armory in Hatboro, Montgomery County.
- November 20: Turners Sports Center in Warwick Township, Bucks County; They were armed with 27 weapons, 16 of which have been recovered, including one used in a violent robbery on December 14 in Pennsauken, New Jersey.
Philadelphia Police Chief Inspector Frank Vanor said Wednesday that they are cooperating with officers in the investigation in Bucks and Montgomery.
