Jaminton Campaz has been one of Rosario Central’s most important signings this year. Since his arrival in February from Brazilian football, the Colombian winger has been one of the sensations of Argentine football, with a great presence this season, where he is an important piece of Miguel Ángel Russo’s plan.
Only a few games were enough for Campaz who became Rosario Central’s starter and one of the team’s attack leaders. Throughout this year he played 31 games in all competitions, where he scored six goals and contributed the same amount of assists. Rosario wants to keep Campaz
Due to this good form, Rosario Central intends to acquire the rights of the Colombian player and keep him next year. The 23-year-old footballer arrived in Argentina from Gremio de Porto Alegre on loan for a year with an option to buy, so the Rosario club wants to exercise that right on the player.
According to Brazilian media Correio do Povo, Rosario has started talks with Gremio to fully acquire Campaz, where they are asking 2 million dollars for 50% of his rights. A part of that amount has already been paid by the Argentine club with a debt worth $750,000.
Argentine journalist Nahuel Ferreira also reported that the club plans to close operations as soon as possible. to renew and extend their relationship with the player for the next four years, that is, until 2027.
Campaz is growing in Argentina
After debuting as a professional at Deportes Tolima at the age of 18, Jaminton Campaz was bought by Gremio in 2021 for $4.5 million, thanks to his good performances in Colombian soccer. However, in Brazil it was not consolidated and without much continuity, missing an important reduction.
