the State Bank RUT account implemented important updates that benefited more than 14 million of its users. Starting in September, clients will be able to make transfers and other operations without paying commission.
Free transfers and transactions from Rut account
One of the main changes is that now money transfers at branches, neighborhood tellers and ATMs are no longer associated with fees. Previously, these operations cost $200 each.
“Starting this month, the RUT Account has stopped charging for money transfers made at bank branches, neighboring savings banks and Banco Estado ATMs” stated by the institution.
Application for BancoEstado card at home
Another innovation is that those over 18 years of age can request that the debit card be sent directly to their home, although this will have a shipping cost of $3,990.
To request it, you must enter the Banco Estado website, complete your personal information and pay the shipping fee.
Paying with a cell phone
RUT Account also implemented a new payment system using Android cell phones with facial recognition. This way, purchases can be made without the need to have a physical card.
To activate the function, you must download the Banco Estado app and follow the instructions to configure the “Be Pay” service.

- Purchases using Redcompra, Compraquà and WebPay.
