LOS ANGELES (Xinhua) – NASA’s Perseverance rover deposited a rock sample on the soil of Mars, the first historic step in NASA’s program to return material from the Red Planet to Earth.

Based on the architecture of the “Return Samples from Mars to Earth” program, Perseverance will transport samples to another rover in the future.
