Sara Almagro has qualified to play in the finals of the ISA Parasurfing World Championships to be held in Pismo Beach (California) this Thursday. The athlete from Marbella has entered the final with the best score of all the participants in the semi-finals this Sunday, with a total of 17.80 points and a best wave of 9.43.
Almagro arrived at the American event with the clear objective of surpassing the runner-up position in the previous edition. For now, he is serving his purpose as he has been able to qualify for the finals from this Thursday.
In his semifinal heat, in the Prone 2 category, the Marbella native once again showed great surfing in the waters off Pismo Beach; Managing to finish first with a total score of 17.80 out of a possible 20 and a best wave of 9.43.
In this way, Sara Almagro achieved the best time among the eight semi-finalists and after a great tournament she is one of the clear candidates to win this world championship.
The lady from Marbella has already shone in the qualifying rounds in which she always scores above 16 points and is one of the favorites to reach the podium. They will face France’s Celine Rouillard and Australians Emma Dieters and Jocelyn Neumeler in the final.
