tallest building in history
Saudi Arabia wants to build 120-kilometer tall skyscrapers – across the desert
Saudi Arabia plans to build a 120-km skyscraper. This massive building, about 500 meters high, will spread over the mountains, desert and coastal areas and will house 5 million people.
Up to 488 meters high and 120 kilometers tall: Saudi Arabia is planning a building that looks no less ambitious than the construction of the Egyptian pyramids in the 21st century. The Mirror Building is set to become the largest structure ever built by man: a glass skyscraper that winds its way across the state’s arid northwest like a giant snake.
It is said that one day, five million people live in the monumental building complex, which should be far more visible from space than the Great Wall of China. The structure will move across coastal, mountainous and desert areas. It emerges from confidential planning documents available to the Wall Street Journal.
The brainchild of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman
Apparently, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman (26) wants to build a memorial for himself and the nation with eternity with the building. The project is his idea baby. Petro-dollars flowing freely again, Saudi Arabia floating in money. Oil company Saudi Aramco has replaced US tech group Apple as the world’s richest company.
A high-speed train has to run under two parallel buildings running parallel to each other. Integrated vertical farming aims to ensure the nutrition of the residents. A marina shouldn’t be missing either, and a sports stadium that stands 300 meters above the desert floor.
The “Mirror Lane” project is said to have cost about a trillion dollars. The massive structure is part of the COO-neutral intelligent city, Neom. The urban project, which was pulled from nothing, is intended to be larger than half of Switzerland. Neom, also the brainchild of the Crown Prince, aims to diversify the state’s economy and make it less dependent on oil. (Case)
