Schneider Electric has announced its EcoStruxure Microgrid Flex, a solution designed to help companies achieve a faster path to Net Zero.
In addition, it reduces project timelines and helps to obtain a higher return on investment for the system.
As renewable energy sources are projected to account for 40% of US distributed electrical generation by 2000, the demand for microgrids to meet these needs is growing. Today’s microgrid systems require significant engineering hours and may require more detailed attention to system configuration, design, and deployment.
By offering flexible EcoStruxure Microgrid configurations to order, customers can achieve better optimization of renovations combined with an on-site microgrid. The solution helps complete a microgrid system from specification through design and construction phases, often in an extremely short period of time.
Once committed, the solution is further optimized through a model in which the microgrid data is connected to autoGrid VPPs (Virtual Power Plants) or to a third party VPP network, DERMS (Distributed Energy Resource Management System). , or directly using Schneider microgrid analysis and software.
The EcoStruxure Microgrid Flex solution package includes:
– Schneider Electric Battery Energy Storage System (BESS), integrated with inverters, batteries, refrigeration, switching equipment, output transformer, safety functions and controllers.
– Advanced Software and Analytics: Comprehensive software and tools for lifestyle management, including assessment, feasibility, design, operation, and optimization.
– Energy Control Center: The Energy Control Center (ECC) is a unique, pre-installed and tested DER and control system that helps optimize resources and obtain better energy efficiency.
– Services to simplify and facilitate the operation, maintenance and optimization of the microgrid.
EcoStruxure Microgrid helps flex companies better meet their energy planning needs, including applications for small and medium markets such as hotels, retail, food and beverage, healthcare, government and others.
The solution will be available in the second quarter of 2013 in the United States.
