The Governor of Tamaulipas, the SNTE, the SEP and the Segob met this Monday to try to resolve the petitions of the master of the state who have been unemployed for two weeks. After the dialogue between the authorities, a provisional date for this was announced back to school.
This Monday, the governor of Tamaulipas, Américo Villarreal, met in Mexico City; the Minister of the Interior, María Luisa Alcalde; the Minister of Public Education, Leticia Ramírez; the national chairman of the SNTE, Alfonso Cepeda, and the general secretary of Section 30 of the Tamaulipas Teachers Union, Arnulfo Rodríguez Treviño.
The aim was to have a dialogue and try to resolve the grievances of the Tamaulipas teachers for which they submitted an application Interruption of work since last September 5th and thus the Suspension of classes in the state for almost two weeks now.
The head of the Ministry of the Interior (Segob), María Luisa Alcalde, published on her social networks that the meeting was successful.
When will classes resume in Tamaulipas?
The Interior Ministry agreed with the government of Tamaulipas and the leadership of that state’s National Union of Education Workers Installation of a negotiation table that allows the return to class in the entity.
“We have agreed that we will talk to the teachers so that from Wednesday a table can be set up to meet their work requirements and at the same time classes can resume,” the official wrote on her X account, in which she also posted a photo with those involved.
He added that the government “is convinced that dialogue is the best way to resolve conflicts.”
