BMW-owned carmaker MINI is launching its new electric car MINI Cooper SE in India. Customers are so curious about this car that 30 units of this car have been sold out in two hours. The company announced this on their social media handle. The current MINI model range includes the MINI 3-Door Hatchback, the MINI John Cooper Works Hatchback, the MINI Convertible and the MINI Countryman.
Let’s find out Mini Cooper SE electric car bookings started on October 29th. Customers can book this car for Rs 1 lakh. However, prices have not yet been announced and customers have booked all units within two hours. The car will be available in four unique color options – White Silver, Midnight Black, Moonwalk Gray and British Racing Green. This electric car may be launched later this month.

270KM range on full charge
This electric car can cover a distance of 270 kilometers on a single charge. The Mini Cooper SE will get a 32.6 kWh battery pack. The attached motor generates 184hp of power and 270Nm of peak torque. The company claims that the three-door Cooper SE will reach 100 kmph in just 7.3 seconds.

There will be such features
Speaking of features, the MINI Cooper SE will have the same features as the standard model. It will get features like 17-inch alloy wheel, 8.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a digital instrument cluster, Nappa leather upholstery. The electric hatchback will come to India as a fully built unit (CBU) and can cost around Rs 50 lakh (ex-showroom).
