Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) is crazy as hell.
When a reporter asked her on Tuesday how she felt about the leaked US Supreme Court draft to overturn Roe v. Wade, the typically reserved lawmaker didn’t hold back.
“I’m angry,” Warren said. “Angry and upset and determined.”
“The United States Congress can keep Roe v. Wade the law of the land — they just need to do it,” she continued.
“Republicans have been working toward this day for decades. They are plotting to carefully cultivate these Supreme Court justices so that they can get a majority on the bench to achieve something that most Americans don’t want. ”
Polls consistently show that a majority of Americans believe Roe v. Wade should be upheld and whether or not a woman can have an abortion should be left to her and her doctor.
“69% of people across this country — across this country, red states and blue states, old and young — want to uphold Roe v. Wade as the law of the land,” Warren said.
“We need to do this. And we have a right. Extremists? We’ve heard a lot from extremists and we’re tired of it.”
Earlier, he had dismissed only a single line of inquiry regarding the leak.
“Really? You think it’s all about leaks?” she asked Nation World News Manu Raju. “That’s about five extremist judges … At least two of them swore and said they care about the rule of law and Roe v. Wade settled law.”
“And now they’re just turning around and saying, ‘No, [not] Actually.’ … that is fundamentally wrong and undermines the credibility of the Supreme Court of the United States.”
