Sese consolidates its activities with a vehicle assembly plant in the US

The CeSe production facility located in Chattanooga (USA) celebrated one year of operation and consolidated the company’s presence in North America. The plant has an assembly capacity of 1,300,000 units per year, which translates into 325,000 vehicles per year, and involves an investment of approximately 40 million euros.

SESE integrally manages the supply chain for the automotive industry at all its stages, including the assembly of all types of modules for a vehicle. In this sense, the company does the assembly of front and rear axles for electrified and combustion models at its plant located in Chattanooga which supplies it in direct sequence directly to the manufacturer. To accomplish this, it has a team of over 400 people, coordinates over 100 suppliers from around the world and manages over 360 sub-components.

Sesay has eight production centers around the world in which it assembles and integrates any vehicle module. Of these, the US plant is the newest and most advanced in terms of innovation, technology and Industry 4.0. It has 28,000 m2 of industrial activity and four production lines in which 16 collaborative automated robots interact with 56 automated guided vehicles (AGVs).

Furthermore, with the aim of combining innovation with sustainability and maximum efficiency, all production plants of the company follow a plan of initiatives to reduce the environmental impact of the industrial activities carried out. These include high-efficiency machinery, digitization of processes, use of recycled and recyclable raw materials, installation of self-consumption photovoltaic panels or repurposing water used for cooling injection equipment to reduce consumption.

The company is headquartered in Zaragoza and operates in 20 countries in Europe, America, Africa and Asia with a team of over 11,000 professionals worldwide for its various business divisions: Transportation (Land, Air, Marine and Vehicle the carrier); Logistics; Industrial Services and Distribution.
