The Colombians Camilo, Karol G and Shakira, with seven nominations each, are the artists with the most award options at the Latin Grammy 2023, which also includes the Argentine Bizarrap with six and the Spaniard Pablo Alborán with five as big favorites.
There are also five candidacies of the Puerto Rican Bad Bunny, the Argentine María Becerra, the Colombian Feid and the Mexican Natalia Lafourcade, as the Latin Recording Academy announced this Tuesday in a broadcast from Seville (Spain), the headquarters of its great Gala on November 16th.
It will be particularly close in the “Recording of the Year” category with eleven candidates, including “It’s Not That I Miss You” by Christina Aguilera; “Street and Ceiling” by Pablo Alborán; “Let Me Cry to You,” by Paula Arenas with Jesús Navarro; “Shakira: Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 53,” by Bizarrap featuring Shakira; and “If You Love Me” by Fonseca and Juan Luis Guerra.
Rounding out this list are “Mientras me curo del cora” by Karol G, “Of all the Flowers” by Natalia Lafourcade, “Brown Eyes” by Lasso, “La Formula” by Maluma and Marc Anthony, “Desphá” by Rosalía and “ Correcaminos” by Alejandro Sanz with Danny Ocean.
“La Cu4rta Hoja” by Pablo Alborán was voted album of the year; “Blindly” by Paula Arenas; “Inside Out,” by Camilo; “Fourteenth” by Andrés Cepeda; “Everyday Life” by Juanes; “Tomorrow will be beautiful,” by Karol G; “Of All Flowers” by Natalia Lafourcade; “Play” by Ricky Martín; “Eadda9223” by Fito Paez; and “Escalona Had Never Been Recorded Like This” by Carlos Vives.
The Spaniard Alejandro Sanz is running as a candidate in two categories this year, as are his compatriots, the rapper Quevedo and the band Arde Bogotá, ahead of other personalities from his country such as Rosalía, Manuel Carrasco and Vanesa Martín with a candidacy.
