British media published the case of a man who discovered his wife’s infidelity thanks to an emergency alert issued by the UK government.
Truth who did not reveal his full name, shared details about the moment, which was very uncomfortable since he never thought that his partner would find out about the disappointment in this way.
The Daily Record reports that the woman, a mother of one, started the affair after feeling like a “third wheel” in the house. felt that there was “lost his identity” while taking care of her home and son, which led her to start a new relationship.
“Since we had our son, who is absolutely the light of our lives, don’t get me wrong, I felt like an unappreciated third wheel that is also the glue that holds the family together.” he assured.
Cooking and cleaning after she got home from work, she felt like she was working 16 hours a day, because she didn’t get help from her husband.
“I really feel that she will never understand the mental burden you take on as a mother that doesn’t even cross a man’s mind.” he explained. “It’s exhausting. I didn’t set out to hurt my husband, I just wanted to do something for myself, as a person, not as a mother.”.
Months ago, Verity signed up for a dating website and started chatting with other people. So, she met a man she saw on weekends, behind her partner’s back.
While the mom admits that she knows it’s wrong to date someone else, she admits that the time with her girlfriend made her “feel alive.”
“My husband is everything, the father of our child. My girlfriend was just this wild fun that made me feel alive on the weekends. It was just an escape from all the stress of everyday life”he added.
“Our relationship was primarily sexual, so we weren’t together for a long time. We really connected on that level.”.

His secret was exposed when, on April 23, the UK government issued an emergency alert at 3:00 pm.
The message caused his second phone, the one he used to communicate with his girlfriend, to ring and was heard throughout the house.
Verity explains that she normally hides her cell phone in her car, but that day she left it in a coat hanging on the shelf in the hallway.
She and her husband were painting their son’s room when the alarm sounded, which is being tested to warn the public of potential hazards such as flooding.
“I sat there looking at my ‘real’ phone and it didn’t ring, but my second fucking phone rang like the world was going to end” he remembered.

Verity is not sure if her girlfriend knows that her secret is out, as her husband confiscated the phone. Then again, he says he’ll log on to her online dating account and let her know, but he’s not sure about his feelings for her now.
On the other hand, she confessed what happened to her family and now hopes that, in time, she will be able to get along with her husband again.
“If you ever forgive me… it’s still early days and we’re still living together, which is very difficult right now. He can’t even look at me. It’s all a mess” he added.
