Shein attributed the spam spread by Instagram in the name of the said company to a large-scale fraud attempt, and recalled that his official communications were made through the company’s regular channels.
Online clothing brand Shein disassociated itself this Monday from a wave of fraudulent spam from Instagram over the past week, which tagged users offering benefits on its platform.
Through the statement, they knew Shein would never ask followers to pay or share personal information to access gift cards or the like.
In the last few days, many users have reported a stream reported by the aforementioned company on Instagram, labeled as profit winners on its platform. However, according to the company, these accounts are fake, offering to Shein these benefits and requesting payments or personal information to access them.
Faced with this situation, the company stated that “in our public contests, followers are never asked to pay or share personal information, and these are never published through third-party websites. We ask the community not to participate in any raffle activities that are published by SHIN’s non-official channels.”
So they confirmed that all their official communication was revealed through their Shein Chile account.
