Angel Studios’ sci-fi film The Shift is coming to theaters soon and promises to shock the audience.
Angel Studios has gained a lot of attention in recent months thanks to its film Sound of Freedom, which between controversies and public acclaim has raised more than $210 million. Now the film studio has another big bet, it’s The Shift which will appear on December 1, 2023. Although that date will vary depending on the country you live in.
Jeffrey Harmon, Chief Content Officer of Angel Studios, expressed his excitement about the project, saying: “Shift is a bold project that defies labels and is unlike anything else on the market. The dedication, strength and vision of director Brock Heasley reminds me of our history with Angel. Eight years ago, he came up with a concept and produced a short film for $500. Brock then joined our team, amazing cast, and Angel Guild to crowdfund and create a one-of-a-kind project. The origin story of the financing and production is as unique and compelling as the plot of the film itself. I think a lot of upcoming filmmakers will model their own careers after what Brock Heasley did at Angel Studios.
“The creative spirit of Angel Studios fostered the opportunity to shape this unique blend of science fiction, romance and allegory. They gave us the clue to make a film that explores new territory.” Added Ken Carpenter, producer of The Shift.

The film’s plot unfolds as Kevin faces a tempting offer of wealth and power from The Benefactor. This new world presents Kevin with unique challenges and situations.
