As Shimano explains, not all Hollowtech II 11-speed cranks need to be serviced. Only those manufactured between June 1, 2012 and June 30, 2019 will need to be serviced, and it is expected that a very small percentage of the connecting rods serviced will need to be replaced.

The products involved in this review and replacement program are the following crank models: Ultegra FC-6800 and FC-R8000 and Dura-Ace FC-9000, FC-R9100 and FC-R9100-P. The model numbers are stamped on the inside of the crank arm near the bottom.
