Due to changes in our beauty routines and the unpredictable and unhealthy lifestyles we lead, the microbiome easily loses its essence. From picking up on every newly launched beauty product to exposing yourself to pollution and excessive screen hours, it’s just the havoc your skin looks like written everywhere. So, here we must shed light on ‘skin rewilding’.

It helps to nourish and promote the microbiota of the skin which plays as the home of bacteria that shield and nourish our skin. But, it is not a two day process rather you have to follow simple steps religiously. To start, avoid cleaning your skin and those overly promising exfoliants at bay. These will leave your skin deprived of moisture which is not good. This doesn’t mean that you have to return home and leave your skin as it is without cleansing the mess, choose a gentle cleanser. Look for products that are harsh-chemical free and that are safe for your skin. Start with peptides, ceramides and oil-free moisturizers. Try saying no to sugar almost every day and adopting healthy eating habits. The more greens, the better and keep yourself hydrated. You can definitely stock up on yogurt as they are rich in probiotics, which are the best food for your skin, and they work wonders when put inside your skincare products. Get some sunlight and exercise daily. Say no to sunscreen, ever!
