Legendary carmaker Skoda may soon launch its new mid-size SUV KUSHAQ in India. This car is made in India and is the first car of the company to be built on the MQB-A0 platform. This SUV has been designed keeping Indian customers in priority and will be produced in India only. It will be made in India and sold in the whole world.
This car has been designed according to Indian roads and has advanced features with comfortable seats, latest touchscreen infotainment system to make the driving experience the best. With this, this car comes with two engine options of 1.0-liter and 1.5-liter and it will be premiered in March 2021 world.
This car will compete with vehicles like Hyundai Creta and Kia Celtose. This SUV comes with a 2,651 mm wheelbase which is the highest in its segment, which means that the company has designed this car keeping in mind the comfort of its passenger.
Managing director of Skoda Auto Volkswagen India Private Limited said, ‘Many models under 2.0 project in India are starting with Skoda Kushak. It has been prepared keeping in mind the Indian customers. It is a matter of pride for us to launch the upcoming Skoda Kushak in India on the MQB A0-IN platform.
At the same time, Skoda CEO Thomas Schäfer said that, Skoda Auto has specially designed Kushak to cater to the needs of the Indian market. We believe that our SUV will surely be liked by Indian customers.

The company’s mid-size SUVs are powered by Skoda KUSHAQ TSI engines that transfer power to the front wheels. This car will be offered in two engine variants which include 1.0-liter and 1.5-liter TSI engines. Three gearbox options of the car will be given according to different variants, first of which is 6-speed manual, second is 6-speed automatic and third is 7-speed DSG. For safety, 6 airbags have been given in this car. Apart from this, cruise control system of hill-hold control, rain and light sensors have also been given in this SUV.
