Sleep can prevent obesity, diabetes and high blood pressure

According to an expert at the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS) in Queretaro, seven to nine hours of sleep can prevent diseases such as obesity, diabetes, high blood pressure and heart diseases through sleep hygiene.

Jose Luis Banales Vazquez, a neurologist attached to the IMSS Regional General Hospital (HGR) No. 1, explained that getting restful sleep is important for maintaining health in optimal conditions.
