Slipknot have announced a European tour to celebrate their 25th anniversary in 2024

Slipknot will celebrate 25 years since the release of their first album with a short European tour in 2024 consisting of only eleven concerts.

Slipknot revealed the dates of their tour of Europe in 2024, a tour in which the band plans to celebrate 25 years of their career accumulated so far. They will do it on a short special tour of only two weeks on the sands of the old continent but without visiting Spain.

M. Shawn Crahan, co-founder and percussionist of Slipknot, known as Clown, commented on the upcoming shows: “It’s been 25 years since we first played in Europe, and we’ve been going back and forth ever since. The memories I have from all those times have changed my life and we are ready to create more. “I’m excited to be bringing our 25th anniversary tour to Europe and the UK.”

The tour kicks off on December 5, 2024, at the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam, Netherlands, and will travel across continental Europe with dates in Germany, France, and Switzerland, concluding at London’s famous O2 Arena on December 20. This marks the first band concert at the O2 Arena since 2020. The pre-sale ticket will be available on December 13, 2023, at 9:00 am UK time, with official pre-sales from Live Nation and venues starting on Thursday, December 14 at 9:00 am UK time, and general sales on December 15 at 9:00 am UK time.

Slipknot released their self-titled debut album on June 29, 1999, marking a dramatic change in the music, character, and energy of metal, and they have been defining the genre ever since. Despite the developments, the departures and entrances of members, and the tragic loss of Paul Gray or Joey Jordison, Slipknot has consolidated a legendary history.

After recently wrapping up a tour of some of the biggest festival stages in the world, Slipknot will headline the Sick New World festival at the Las Vegas Festival Grounds on April 27. This will be the first concert with their new drummer, as yet unknown, following the unexpected departure from the group of Jay Weinberg, who had been with them for the past ten years.
