Just when we get spring-like weather in western New York, news comes that snow could return to the region early next week.
There’s a chance we might see a white dingus day here in western New York. According to WIVB meteorologist Mike Sejka, we could be in for a harsh wake on Monday the 18th.
The warmth we are seeing today, where maximum is expected to reach the 60-degree mark with actual experience of 66 degrees, will continue for the next few days. Then things start to go downhill over the Easter weekend. The high is expected to hit an all-time high of 40 on Saturday and Sunday.
Then there is a possibility of a return of snow on Monday and Tuesday of next week. On Monday, there is a possibility of snow and rain in the entire region, with maximum temperature near 40 and minimum temperature near 30. Cold weather continues on Tuesday and more snow with rain is expected before warm weather returns on Wednesday. ,
So far, Buffalo has received about 20 inches more snow this season than in 2020/2021. It doesn’t look like this next eruption will cause much in terms of measurable snowfall, but the potential for a sort of White Dyings Day does exist for western New York.
Hopefully this will be the last blast of winter in our region. But, we live in western New York… so you never know.
