Cuban citizens who wish to travel to Bolivia may do so through a tourist visa. It was reported by the Bolivian embassy in Cuba, which also explains the procedures required for its issuance. For $30.00 USD, the visa makes it possible to stay in the Andean country for 90 days. Therefore, this means a good opportunity to take advantage of direct flights between the two countries.
In this way, Cuban travelers can stay in Bolivia for tourism and pleasure reasons, but not participate in activities for profit.
However, as with any visa acquisition process, there are certain parameters that interested parties must meet.
What are the requirements to get this visa?
We talked about that in the application process, especially on the day of the interview, it is necessary to present some documents.
Here it is important that not only the visa applicant presents these documents, but also the Bolivian person who made the invitation. By the way, this is probably the most complicated method: finding the person to write the invitation letter.
However, the invitee to Bolivia must present a photocopy of the identity card. In addition, it will also present a Letter of Authorization for Invitation registration and a notarized Letter of Invitation, both valid for six months from their issuance.
Finally, you must present your current bank statement with a minimum of $2000.00 USD or its equivalent in Bolivian currency.
For their part, Cuban citizens must present the Visa Application Affidavit Form available on the official website.
You must also present a valid passport with at least six months validity and a round-trip ticket reservation. Also, a certificate of criminal record legalized by MINREX and a recent photograph are required.
You must also show vaccination certificates against Yellow Fever and COVID-19. In the case of minors, a birth certificate and a legal travel authorization are requested.
These documents will be presented at the consulate, if the appointment is requested 21 days before the date of travel.
After the interview application is approved, the visa payment will be made at the Central Bank of Bolivia in La Paz. Although it can also be done by bank transfer in Santa Cruz and Cochabamba.
