The students of the Social and Health Care Employment Workshop for People in Morela start their internships in the city centers when the course reaches the middle of the course. In this way, they reinforce the various services provided from the day center, including the functions of kitchen and transportation, as well as in the homes of the users who need it. He has also introduced these practices at the San Juan Bautista Residence for the elderly.
The workshop trains 10 people at home in various social and health care tasks and started in November with a duration of one year. During the first months, theoretical and practical classes with simulations were held in permanent training for adults of the Fundaci Caixa Castell building, with the aim of providing a quality service for the well-being of the elderly and dependent people in the center and homes. ,
Mal Blasco, Social Welfare and Elderly Councillor, stressed that the workshop worked very well and that real exercises are carried out in the centers for the elderly in Morela. Blasco underscored the importance of this training to expand the services the city provides.
Currently, the care service for the elderly at the Morela Day Center has a total of 25 beds, all covered. For its part, the San Juan Bautista residence has 56 users, which means that all the spaces are included as well.
