The Social Welfare and Health Department of the Altea City Council, governed by José Luis León Gascón, announced today at a press conference at the Center for the Elderly (CIM), widely known as CEAM, the award of the management of this center . Union Temporary Companies (UTE) formed by Lagunduz Group and Health and Community Foundation. The management of the CIM will be developed for three years with a contract of 624,628.08 euros. The mayor of the area has said that the agreement will be signed soon.
Leon Gascon thanked the workers for their patience during the bidding process and said: “Grupo Lagunduz and Fundación Salud y Comunidad are the only companies that have opted for the continuation of the management of the center. The Social Welfare and Health Department has budgeted a total of 80,000 Euros for the current year 2022 to improve the building’s air conditioning, repair of the pool, activities and change of floors to improve users’ comfort in the changing rooms. The Mayor of Social Welfare and Health has highlighted the company’s desire to improve the CIM service such as computer equipment according to the specifications, features and conditions of the Department of Social Welfare. And above all, Leon Gascon highlights the improvement of free access for users 12 to 18 in workshops organized by the winning company. In fact, Grupo Lagunduz and Fundación Salud y Comunidad aim to facilitate access to free workshops. In addition, the number of annual sessions per user for the various services of physiotherapy, hydrotherapy, podiatry, hairdressing, psychology, and others has been established from 30 to 60 before the current (assessment required by social services).
José Luis León Gascón pointed to the improvements in the services that UTE intends to do: “The company will increase the number of cultural or leisure activities per year from four to nine that will take place outside the center.
