LEE’S SUMMIT, Mo. – St. Luke’s East Hospital recently recognized as a Center of Excellence in Specialized Prostate Treatment, recognized for providing the highest quality of care and patient safety by the Surgical Review Corporation (SRC), a non-profit, patient Safety organization that develops and manages best-in-class accreditation programs for medical professionals, surgeons, hospitals and freestanding outpatient facilities worldwide.
Status as an accredited facility means that St. Luke’s Eastern Hospital has met nationally and internationally recognized standards.

These requirements include surgical volume, facility equipment, diagnostic pathways and standardized operating procedures, an emphasis on patient education, and continuous quality assessment. Inspection includes all staff working with surgeons in an accredited program. Inspectors educate employees on best practices to help an organization improve its care and services.
