Joseph Quinn almost didn’t make his first talk show appearance. They did not want him to enter the United States.
Eddie Munson is one of the most popular characters from the fourth season of the Netflix hit “Stranger Things.” Joseph Quinn (28), who embodies the character and has been in front of the camera for years, apparently still doesn’t know many. On “The Tonight Show” by American presenter Jimmy Fallon (47), he now stated that he almost couldn’t enter to appear on the show. Thanks to his role, he was able to participate in the show.
This is his first appearance on a talk show, Quinn explained. But he “almost didn’t make it”. The actor was stopped the day before entering the country and was taken to a kind of “dungeon”, as they joke. There he first had to wait about 20 minutes and then he was called to a desk, where someone asked him: “Sir, what are you doing in the United States?”
“This is Eddie from ‘Stranger Things'”
Quinn then said that he had come to meet Jimmy Fallon, which the employee did not believe. A colleague of the man then looked at the actor and said to another: “Leave Eddie alone. […] It’s Eddie from Stranger Things.” Then the rep asked, “You’re Eddie Munson?” He also wanted to know if Quinn would return in season five. Quinn replied that the man gave the actor his passport, Given that he would rather return as Eddie.
The fourth season of “Stranger Things” is one of Netflix’s biggest successes. According to the streaming service, the latest episode garnered a little less than 1.34 billion worldwide views in the first 28 days after release. No other English-language series on the platform has been nearly as successful. Only “Squid Game” was previously able to earn over a billion streaming hours on Netflix. South Korean production holds the current overall record with nearly 1.65 billion hours within 28 days before the end of 2021.
