Enix Square It is clear about the direction to follow the titles in the task, or rather the directions. On the one hand, advanced technology and visual spectacle for games like Final Fantasy XVI, on the other, beautiful 2’5D for classic improvements or games with the character of another era, some like the saga, Octopath. Traveler, the game belongs to us; Triangle Strategy. It should be clear that his strategic battle formula, the history of the battle and the somewhat cliché characters will not surprise us, but he has made works as well as the classics of the genre.
There are several elements of the Strategy Triangle that, while not innovative, work really well. It is one of them number and variety of characters with whom we shall meet in practice, which, not only reaches the narrative, but also has that in play. When arranging the battles, we will be able to choose which of them to fight, which, given the variety of genres that the game has, is already something of great importance: from swords, some from horses; This brings extra mobility to healers or archers, going through magic from different elements and fris… and more. We can incorporate more and more secondary stories—not stories—in the long run, just to exponentially increase the possibilities in battle. To this must be added the multitude of possibilities, when it comes to correcting the behavior of each one, by developing new talents, weapons, and order. We will have as many hours out of the fight as in it, just as entertaining.
On the other hand, where the Triangle Strategy exists as a narrative, not because it tells a story that seems new to us, nothing more, but it is very interesting, since, as we said, many characters give wealth; a good few scenes at will, which put us in the situation. So much so that the scenes are read and enjoyed more than the story, but surprisingly they are not heavy, very light in terms of duration and telling the story within this very mature aesthetic.
When it comes to combat, let’s face it with an affordable proposition, that is, we are faced with a not too complicated formula. But clearly, as we progress, this becomes more and more complicated, having more elements to take into account only in the design; the units he is going to have in battle, and where that is much more important than it seems. Once in battle, it is important to look for the rear of the enemy – more damage is done -, keep healthy units in the melee, and other typical aspects of the race, but this work here and in any other.
