Strong Building – Fish Farmer Magazine

Prior to Aquaculture UK, Gail Power offers a unique preview of the latest Bahrdid concrete boats with improved safety features and breeding options.

This weekend, in March, the Scottish supplier Gale Force reached a milestone – with the launch of two simultaneous feeding boats on both sides of the Atlantic Ocean in Scotland and Canada and the spectacular success of 100 completed Concrete Boat Boats. Builds.

Over the years, much has changed in the design and production of boats in the Gel Force as a result of advances in fisheries. Designing and Building NS9415 Principles The company’s well-established and highly skilled in-house team. Over the years, the improved galley feeding boats remain a safe and secure choice for farmers in many stations in Scotland.

This year, however, the supplier is implementing the 2022 Maritime Safety Features and Improvements, which are the most important maritime shipbuildings built by the Scots in Scotland. These are set to be fully unveiled in Aquaculture UK in May.

Improved security features
In addition to the SeaFeed Concrete Boat range, which includes the 150t, 200t and 350t cargo capacity of the models, the Boat Free Boards are designed to exceed the requirements of NS9415 standards for Hs 5-6. For example, the 200t freeboard is significantly larger than previous models – more than two meters when fully loaded. Installation Lines Signs clearly marked on the balcony indicate easy installation and full installation steps to the operator.

In addition to the existing automated bilge alarm systems, a modern, hatch alarm system connected to all external enclosures, doors or openings will be integrated into the new range. If any of the alarms are open, the alarm system notifies the operator of a combination of audible and visual alerts. This is enhanced by a built-in flashlight mounted on the wheelhouse, which opens when it is activated. Bargeon operators cannot leave the ship without knowing that the lock is unlocked properly.

Gail Power also introduced strong DNV waterproof doors at the bottom of the boat to increase the space between rooms.

And, in response to customer feedback, all new barge designs feature a new heat sink. At the lower levels of the boat, any heat generated by plants is now directly emitted, thus eliminating any heat source. As a result, the interior of the ship is closer to the local seawater temperature. This benefits the plants on the ship and ensures that the fodder is kept in a safe environment.

With each pastor’s bargain supply, made of concrete or steel, the Gel Force team works with their clients to promote and support safe boat management by developing the most appropriate and up-to-date badge owner instructions and operator training programs.

For the first time for Gael Power, the 200t concrete feed boat supplied in Scotland is fully integrated using Fjord Maritime’s Hybrid system. All systems on that boat run on the power of the batteries on board, and the generator operates only on occasion when the batteries need to be recharged.

Fjord hybrid

Stephen Powerford, Director of Gel Power Production, explains: On existing boats, we expect high demand for this, taking into account the current financial and environmental costs of fuel.

Using Fjord Hybrid, fish farms can run their generators for up to three hours a day, which is the current standard 24 hours a day. This reduces greenhouse gas emissions by up to 90 percent compared to traditional works.

In addition, Fried Maritime reports that reduced running time can extend the life of fish farming systems up to 60%.

With the Fjord Hybrid system, millions of data points are recorded from the boat every day, which is easily converted into easy-to-understand information. The information helps to optimize energy consumption, which in turn leads to better production costs per kilogram of fish.

“All four modules are much smaller than the generator you are installing, so with our knowledge and understanding the system can easily do what our team can do,” said Stephen Offord.

More than 100 of these hybrid systems have been installed in Norwegian fish farms, but this latest installation is the first in the UK.

“We have received great support from FYD Maritime in the design and installation process, any questions have been answered quickly and clearly. Our team is fully trained in all aspects of the system installation and we have backup support from the manufacturer if necessary.
