Strider, a wholly owned subsidiary of Tata International Limited, has launched two of its electric bicycles Contino ETB-100 and Voltic 1.7 E in the domestic market. Adorned with a very attractive look and strong battery pack, the starting price of this cycle has been fixed at Rs 29,995.
The company claims that these electric bicycles are very economical and their running cost is only 6 paise per kilometer. These cycles can travel up to 60 km on a single charge. While the Contino ETB-100 is the most affordable e-bike and game-changing product in the country, the Strider Voltic 1.7 is powered by a powerful electric motor and a lithium-ion battery. These cycles can be charged in just 3 hours and the company is giving a 2-year warranty on both.
The company has used world class features and technology in the ETB-100, which has been specially designed keeping in mind the Indian drivers. The 7-speed Contino ETB 100 comes with a detachable, rechargeable battery and three driving modes (electric, hybrid and pedal) which gives it a range of up to 60 kms under hybrid mode and 30 kms on full electric mode. The driver can easily shift them in motor mode and pedal mode. Its price is Rs 29,995.
The Contino ETB-100 is made of strong special 6061 metal. For better braking, it has been given smart features like double disc brake, key-lock battery, smart ride (auto power cut off when any brake is applied) and front LED lamp for night vision. It has a detachable battery pack, which makes it even more special. Its price has been fixed at Rs 37,999. This cycle is available in two colors Black and Blue.
These cycles come with a secure in-frame rechargeable 48V lithium-ion battery that can be charged in less than 3 hours. These electric bicycles have suspension forks, large sized tires for better balance, 260W electric motor. Both these cycles will be available across India through selected dealers of the company.
