Students celebrate parrot festival in Valles del Tuy

The XVII edition of the Papagayo Festival and Traditional Games started in the municipality of Paz Castillo (Santa Lucia del Tuy) of the State of Miranda, which will be deployed in the educational institutions of this city in Valles del Tuy this month of May.

The event was inaugurated in the vicinity of the “San Benito” Center for Cultural Diversity, located in the La Variante sector, the gateway to the municipality of Lusitaño; It had the participation of students from the institutions: José Manuel de los Ríos, Potrerito, César Armando Cisneros, Estado Vargas, Rómulo Gallegos, Genaro Gómez and Dr. Francisco Espejo.

Mayor Víctor Julio González announced that for the seventeenth time in Santa Lucia del Tu the Festival of Parrots and Traditional Sports is celebrated, organized around the defense and dissemination of the country’s cultural identity, values, principles and traditional sports.

He stressed that every year, especially in the month of May, this massive activity takes place which promotes the values ​​transmitted by traditional sports as well as a positive connotation that is inculcated in the actions of every child and adolescent through this tradition. guides the

They will visit educational institutions

Julio Blanco, director of crime prevention and family planning in Santa Lucia del Tuy, underlined that the annual meeting will be held in Paz Castillo municipal educational institutions during the month of May in order to integrate students into the creation of the school parrot. “Who wants to leave a message of colors giving flight to dreams. Students participating in this activity are encouraged to save cultural traditions.
