The Elite 16 World Tour received more than 130 athletes from 32 countries, it is considered the third best event in the world, only below the Olympics and the World Cup. Champions
The Americans Hughes and Cheng defeated the current world champions, the Brazilians Ana Patricia and Duda with partial scores of 21-14, 15-21 and 15-10, thus winning the title in this category. The bronze went to Australia’s Mariafe and Clancy, who beat Italy’s Gottardi and Menegatti with partial wins of 21-16, 17-21 and 19-17.
For their part, in the men’s category, the Swedes hman and Hellvig, the current European champions, overwhelmed all, the Olympic and world champions, Mol and Sørum from Norway, 21-16 and 21-15 with partial wins.
