PT Kereta Commuter Indonesia (KCI) recorded an increase in the number of KRL users during the holiday last weekend. As of 17.00 WIB, the number of users riding Jabodetabek KRL is 303,488 people.
KAI Commuter Anne Purba’s VP Corporate Secretary does not deny that one of the drivers of the increase in commuters is from activities Sitayam Fashion Week which is being talked about. This can be seen from the number of passengers at Sudirman station, which registered an increase of 8% to 10,089 people.
“The trend of users goes up with different activities, it can be from these activities (Sitayam Fashion Week) or other activities,” said Anne, Monday (25/7/2022).
Bogor station is the most frequent departure station, with 21,058 people taking KRL from Bogor station. Recently the youth of the area Citayam Until Bojong Gede was actually roaming in the center of Jakarta.
As for the destination station, Tanah Abang is still the destination for most users with 16,236 people. Meanwhile, the number of users at Jakarta Kota station was recorded at 8,655 users.
Overall, the distribution of the volume of Jabodetabek KRL users as of 17.00 WIB was dominated by users on the Bogor Line, with a total of 94,723 users, and 55,725 users on the Rangkasbitung Line KRL travel. Anne noted that 4% of the total volume, or 13,426 users, are seasonal users who take advantage of the weekend using KRL.
