The locals kept Real Sociedad away from their goal, who found it more difficult to reach Kepa’s domain due to heavy Merengue pressure. Then Joselu, who had hit the crossbar in the first half, appeared and headed Fran García’s cross from the left into the Real goal (60′).
Trailing on the scoreboard, Real Sociedad renewed their attack to move forward, but couldn’t find a way to beat a Real Madrid team that focused more on defense to achieve victory in the end.
