In this way, it is requested to “declare that the online betting systems created in Chile through the Internet by persons or companies not authorized by law – mentioned in this action – are illegal, and the appeal must be adopted immediately, or within a time fixed by the court, the necessary measures to ensure the blocking of online betting sites that operate in Chile and that are indicated in this appeal“.
Likewise, the resolution indicated that online sports betting “like the activity reported by the appellant in the proceedings, This is prohibited by our legal system, which treats debts contracted in said games of chance as a prohibited matter.as well as the criminal sanction of those who carry out such activity as well as those who participate in it.”
