Case filed against the accused, the condition of one victim is critical

At around 9:30 pm, Dolly’s husband Mahesh Thakur and his father-in-law returned home when they saw Dolly dead and the three children injured. He lodged a complaint at Mussoorie Police Station.

A case was registered against the accused under sections 302, 307, 380, 394 and 411 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) against unknown people and relevant sections of the Arms Act were imposed. The children were taken to Yashoda Hospital in Nehru Nagar for medical treatment. Doctors told 9-year-old Meenakshi is in critical condition, while Rudra and Gauri are stable.

Accused Uma arrested from her residence

She said in a video statement, “Dolly was the granddaughter of my mother-in-law and her children used to call me ‘Amma’. We had been planning a robbery for a long time. Saturday night we went to Dolly’s house and drank tea there too. Sonu later locked them in a room and shot the teenage girl and then Dolly. Then, he hit the children with a knife and a grinding stone from the kitchen. “

Police caught Mohammed Sonu after an encounter

Unlike Uma, Mohammad Sonu was planning to flee to Ghaziabad. A total of five police teams were deployed to nab him.
