Kia India entered the Indian market in 2019. Kia Seltos is named among the best selling cars. Seltos accounted for 59% of the company’s total sales. Next comes the name of Sonnet, which has a total share of 32%. Kia Carens MPV was the second best selling vehicle in its segment. The company has produced a total of 6,34,224 vehicles so far. The company’s Indian branches contribute more than 6% of its total sales.

Commenting on Kia’s remarkable achievement, Myung-Sik Sohan, Chief Sales Officer, Kia India said, “In just 3 years in India, we have not only established ourselves as a trending brand but also at the forefront of adopting new technologies. India is one of the most important markets for Kia and hence 3 out of 5 of our production in the country is not only manufactured locally but also exported to various global markets.”

Kia’s first electric car is the EV6
Kia’s first electric vehicle in the Indian market is the EV6. This electric crossover will be available in two trims GT Line RW and GT Line AWD. The GT Line RWD is priced at ₹ 59.95 lakh (ex-showroom, India), while the GT Line AWD is priced at ₹ 64.95 lakh (ex-showroom, India). Only 100 cars will be sold in India. Kia has received tremendous response from customers for this vehicle. The RWD model of the Kia EV6 offers a range of up to 528 km on a full charge. While the AWD version will be able to run up to 425 km on a single charge.
