Taylor Swift is settling into the WAG life effortlessly. The Eras Tour performer was spotted out to dinner in NYC this week with Brittany Mahomes and a crew of A-list friends.
Now, if your only knowledge of the Kansas City Chiefs begins and ends with being Taylor Swift’s maybe-boyfriend football team, then I’m telling you Why all this matters: Brittany Mahomes is the wife of Chiefs quarterback (and Travis Kelce’s partner-slash-good pal), Patrick Mahomes.
Before Sunday’s game against the New York Jets, Swift and Mahomes were photographed heading to celebrity dinner at Emilio’s Ballato in Soho. Blake Lively, Sophie Turner, and other friends joined in on the girls’ night out. According to sources, the new friendship grew last week after Swift and Mahomes bonded during Kelce’s post-game party in Kansas City, where they were caught downing shots to celebrate the Chiefs’ victory, Page Six reports.
Travis Kelce, meanwhile, arrived in New Jersey with the team early Saturday before heading into town for his own dinner plans near NYC’s Meatpacking District. The tight end ate Meduza Mediterrania with friends, according to eyewitnesses, and then basineeee slept at Taylor’s. After their respective nights out, Kelce was spotted leaving Swift’s NYC apartment around 11 a.m. Sunday, just hours before the rumored couple arrived separately at MetLife Stadium.
Taylor cheered on Kelce for the second week in a row. This time, with celeb friends Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman, and his new bestie-slash-ex-wife (it remains iconic) Sophie Turner. According to a source who spoke to PEOPLE, it’s still “super, super early days” for the new relationship but they’re “having fun.”
Kelce briefly commented on the relationship during his New Heights podcast last week, days after Swift popped up at Arrowhead.
“Shoutout to Taylor for the pull, that was awesome!” he said in Wednesday’s episode. “I just thought it was amazing how everyone in the suite had nothing but great things to say about him, friends and family. He looked great. Everyone spoke of him in a good light. “
