Javier Tebas, president of LaLiga, was interviewed by Movistar where he reviews current events and also talks about FC Barcelona. The manager was asked about Barça’s options to sign in the winter market and explained the conditions under which he could add.
Tebas acknowledged that Barça has improved its financial situation: “”It has improved a lot. They put effort into their salary bill. Regarding his relationship with Joan Laporta, Tebas admitted that “we talked and some lack of understanding that something was broken.” Of course, he doesn’t agree with his decision to keep Barça in the Super League: “I don’t understand it, but I can’t help being more or less angry with Barcelona. It’s a decision that I don’t respect because the Super is a lot of damage what the League does in the national leagues, but they believe it is the best fit for their club.
The president of LaLiga was particularly harsh on Barça when talking about the ‘Negreira case’, making sure that if it was up to him he would demand a disciplinary sanction. “Just trying to influence the arbitration issue is already a crime of sports corruption, as the investigating judge said in an order. “The corresponding disciplinary file should be opened and the social disciplinary judge of the League must take the decision corresponding to our statutory scope, which ranges from a warning to a demotion, depending on the severity.”
The pulse of Tebas should not tremble when it comes to determining Barça’s relegation “if the social disciplinary judge decides.
