Nutanix CIO Wendy Pfeiffer presented what, in her opinion, will be three main challenges that will mark the companies’ technology agenda in 2023:
Adoption of asynchronous work models and processes. Companies will be able to innovate more thanks to the implementation of more efficient ways of working, which facilitate collaboration between different time zones and are more flexible. This will mean that they will need to rethink their approach to asynchronous collaboration, including the tools and policies that help facilitate it.
Rethinking IT infrastructure keeping in mind energy consumption and carbon footprint. Society is increasingly requiring companies to make more efforts to reduce their carbon footprint and be more ecological, but now maintaining excessive energy consumption has an even greater impact on their economic results.
The cloud is primarily intended for speed and performance and not so much for energy savings, which will force companies to consider whether they can move tasks to the cloud far more efficiently and cost-effectively. How can
–The major changes made by many social networks will have a significant impact on companies. Many organizations rely on data obtained from companies running social media platforms to fine-tune their own segmentation algorithms. And if this data becomes more obsolete and less cared for, the segmentation will become less and less sophisticated.
Second, all this data is often the basis for training artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) tools, so these solutions may also be less effective.
