On 18 November, a telephone conversation took place between Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ali Asadov and Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Garibashvili.
AZERTAC reports that during their conversation the heads of government congratulated each other on the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and Georgia.
Expressed satisfaction at the high level of strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and Georgia based on solid foundations of centuries-old friendship, good neighborliness and mutual support. The role of high-level contacts and mutual visits between the two countries in the development of Azerbaijani-Georgian relations was highly appreciated, and highlighted by the visit of President Ilham Aliyev to Georgia in October this year.
During the talks, prospects for the development of relations between Azerbaijan and Georgia in the political, economic, transport, energy and humanitarian fields were also discussed.
Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili once again invited Prime Minister Ali Asadov to visit Georgia in the framework of the regular meeting of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission for Economic Cooperation to be held in Tbilisi in December this year. It was expressed confidence that the visit would be useful for reviewing issues on the Azerbaijani-Georgian cooperation agenda.
