In a closing that marks a milestone in the 45-year history of Telethon, the solidarity movement was able to raise the goal established for the 2023 campaign after more than 27 hours of continuous broadcasting. The closure occurred for the first time outside of Santiago, specifically at Quinta Vergara in Viña del Mar.

With the initial concern about not reaching 50% of the goal by closing the theater at 9:00 pm, the outlook improved after repeated calls for donations and a large donation from the community in business. The donation of $3,000,000,000 announced by the presidents of Sofa and the CPCRosario Navarro and Ricardo Mewes, respectively, quickened their paces towards a shocking final number.
The final tally read during the broadcast revealed that Telethon 2023 had achieved a collection of $38,044,459,976. The Teletón Foundation plans to publish the final amount of fundraising in the coming days, which will provide a more detailed view of the influential contribution of entrepreneurs and society to this cause of love.
