Telmex and Oracle announce an alliance offering hyperscale cloud services of companies in the country. This agreement does not come alone, because Oracle also opens a second region in Monterrey in collaboration with Telefonos de México.
For clients, this alliance means that Telmex can provide, especially to companies and SMEs, new technological solutions, especially to businesses that want to migrate to the cloud.
What Telmex can offer Oracle
As part of this partnership, Telmex-Triara will not only promote these new services in Mexico, but will also be responsible for the design, migration, implementation, operation and support your customers’ cloud needs.
The intention is, according to Telmex, to be able to reach more than 24 thousand companies, mainly SMEs, in three years to bring Oracle technology to customers in the form of a managed and personalized service according to your needs. This results in reduced costs for businesses, with near-instant availability and efficiency.
For Telmex, one of the main reasons is that currently 80% of companies do not have a cloud migration strategy. Therefore, with this new offer, it is possible to help the system areas to focus on the work within the company and entrust the cloud operations to a third party, in this case, Telmex.
In addition, Telefonos de México also revealed that by having Oracle data centers in the country, and in almost every region of the world where they operate, strengthens data sovereignty and residency in Mexico. This means that user information must not leave a specific region to operate and use the company’s infrastructure.
Advantages of both regions of Mexico
In the name of Oracle, this is the fifth region that is in Latin America and the second in Mexico; the first is located in Querétaro.
This ensures that not only the Oracle range of cloud services for modernize applications or migrate loads but also a platform for scalability, redundancy and load distribution demands.

According to Telmex, this alliance will not translate, at least initially, into a specific offer or in a service package in the cloud that can be contracted by clients, because it is a solution designed for companies.
