Tesla has finally included a blind spot warning in its new Model 3
Although the new Tesla Model 3 Highland was revealed a few days ago, we continue to discover “hidden” new features of the car and one of them is a function requested by its customers.
We are talking about blind spot warning a function that began to be implemented many years ago in cars and that now almost any car includes it, but Tesla refused to implement it until now.
The blind spot indicator is an additional safety feature, and it is a function that warns you with a light and sound signal that you have a vehicle close to your right or left side and that it is in a blind spot, so you can’t. look at it in your rearview mirror.
Tesla avoided this option of adding any visual and sound elements because with the cameras equipped in its vehicles, the user can clearly see the objects in their vicinity when they turn on the turn signal. . And it even has a graphic representation of the car’s surroundings, although we believe that’s not enough.
However, and finally, because we believe that this is a useful and cheap function to implement, Tesla has provided the new Tesla Model 3 Highland with a subtle blind spot warning located in the speaker itself which is located in the driver’s area. the A pillar.
A small red light will light up when a car passes around your Model 3, indicating its presence, just like many models today.
Tesla has updated the Model 3 manual for Europe mentions this new option, although it actually only mentions a warning device on the driver’s side, and does not refer to the possibility of having another warning device in the passenger’s position to indicate the blind spot corresponding to the right side.
Currently, this new security feature is only available on new Tesla Model 3 although we suspect that in the near future it will be available in the rest of the brand’s models.
It is certain that in the coming weeks and days we will know about the new features of the new Tesla Model 3.
