Tesla India entry may be delayed! Find out what the cause is

Tesla India Launch: American electric vehicle maker Tesla has recently announced the launch of its operations in the Indian market. This was confirmed by Union Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari himself. Nitin Gadkari has said that Tesla will launch its electric cars in the Indian market this year. On the same day yesterday, Karnataka Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa said the company would set up its first manufacturing plant in Karnataka. In the midst of all this, however, news is coming that there may be a slight delay in Tesla’s entry into India.

According to a report published in Business Today, an official told the media on the anonymous situation that the government has not yet received any proposal from the company. On the one hand, the Chief Minister is talking about opening a Tesla manufacturing plant in Karnataka, while on the other hand, there is no development in allocating land for the plant.

Let me tell you that the company was also registered in the name of Tesla India Motors and Energy Pvt Ltd in Bangalore last month. Tesla India has appointed Vaibhav Taneja, Venkatarangam Sriram and David John Feinstein as directors, according to the Registrar of Companies (ROSI). The corporate headquarters of the company are located on Lavelle Road in the city.

Chief Minister’s tweet deleted: On January 12, Karnataka Chief Minister B.S. In a tweet on social networking site Twitter, Yeddyurappa welcomed Tesla’s entry into India. “Karnataka is leading India’s journey towards green consciousness,” he tweeted. Electric vehicle maker Tesla will soon start operations in India with a Research and Development (R&D) unit in Bangalore. I welcome Elon Musk (founder of the company) to India and Karnataka and congratulate him ”, but this tweet was deleted a few hours later.

I can tell you that many states in the country are competing to welcome Tesla into their state. It is learned that Tesla has not signed any agreement or contract in Karnataka. According to a report published in TOI, Maharashtra Industries Minister Subhas Desai recently said it was looking to open a showroom showcasing cars imported from the US and Europe. From here the selected model based on customer feedback will be launched in India.

However, apart from all these things, B.S. Yeddyurappa had earlier made it clear that Tesla would set up its manufacturing plant in Karnataka. For this, an industrial corridor will be constructed in Tumkur district of the state. He said that Tesla’s coming to India would have many benefits and the biggest benefit would be employment for the people. He estimated that Tesla’s entry into India would provide employment to about 2.8 lakh people.
